I'd love to imitate your ways,
for you do the same thing every day
and maybe that is the key.
The things you do they make you well,
and when you do them you never fail,
for you've done them all before.
And everyday is the same, never change.
Repeat the things you love the most,
always keep them close to hand,
don't let them wander from your mind.
And if you find, the words you know,
start to fade, from your world,
for you I'll save, the words I know,
And every day, will remain, never change.

Postcard

She bought herself a 3 penny postcard,
The type you find hidden on walls,
and wrote on the side,
"to my own dear truelove,
for you I hide my thoughts on a postcard,
for you I hide these thoughts on a wall,
and until you return
I'll just keep my thoughts hidden."
With each new day,
she wrote a new postcard,
the passers-by, they added their own,
until it became, a wall full of postcards.
"For you I hide this."

Forgotten

We looked for you today,
but you were nowhere.
Where have you gone to now my friend,
no longer seem part of our world anymore.
We know we'll be forgotten,
but like fools forgotten, we'll still love you.
We looked for you today,
but you were nowhere.
Hide yourself away for too long,
there'll be no one left when you return.

Fallen Guru

On the south side of the morning,
a stranger to my door came calling
saying "Please,
take me with you where you go."
"For in my home town, I was a leader
and people followed me where I led them,
saying 'Please,
take me with you where you go.'"
"Now I'm sick and tired of leading,
all those people who are leaving,
lives that never give them answers,
looking to me for answers."
"Well, first I rose up, to the challenge,
gave my wisdom to the masses,
felt fulfilled in the knowledge,
of doing good."
"But now I'm sick and tired of leading,
all those people who are leaving,
lives that never give them answers,
looking to me for their answers."
"So will you be, the one to lead me,
from this life, I'm trying to leave?"
